The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said that a G2 driver faces multiple charges after recording a speed of 141 km/h on Highway 417 on Wednesday evening.
After stopping the driver at 9:30 PM, police investigation revealed that the vehicle was uninsured and had unsuitable tires.
Police also found "open cannabis in the vehicle."
The driver faces multiple charges, including reckless driving, operating a vehicle without insurance, and driving a vehicle with unsuitable tires.
The Crown Attorney's Office adds that if convicted, they will face a fine of $5,000 for lack of insurance.
