A woman from Ontario issued a warning after saying that a hidden camera was found inside a bathroom in Tim Hortons.
Emily Hassler, a Hamilton resident, told CTV News Toronto that her sister found the camera at around 11 a.m. on September 22 at Tim Hortons, located at 30 Queenston Street, when she was with her young child.
She said a phone was placed in a pile of trash, with a slight opening around the camera.
The phone was also connected to a battery pack connected together, which could allow the camera to operate for a longer period of time.
Photos posted on Facebook show the phone placed in an empty Tim Hortons cup, with what appears to be tissues on top.
Hassler said the restaurant manager was informed and a security camera showed what seems to be a man entering the bathroom with the device.
The police confirmed that they are investigating the incident and said that when officers arrived at the scene, the mobile phone was still recording.
The officers confiscated the cell phone as evidence and the police said the investigation is ongoing.
No charges have been filed and there are no suspects at the moment.
