Ontario Provincial Police announced that a doctor in Eastern Ontario has been charged with first-degree murder following the death of a patient.
The doctor faces three new murder charges.
Bryan Nadler, 35, was charged in 2021 in connection with the death of 89-year-old Albert Poindinger from Pointe-Claire, QC on March 25.
Nadler was working at Hauksbury Hospital at the time. Police said they are investigating several suspicious deaths at the hospital but did not disclose the number and indicated that the investigation will be lengthy.
Nadler's medical license was suspended shortly after he was charged.
He was released on bail in July 2021 under several conditions, including a ban on practicing medicine.
In a press release, the OPP said Nadler was arrested on Wednesday and charged with three additional counts of first-degree murder.
Police say the charges relate to the deaths of Claire Breyer, 80, from Riga, QC; Lorraine Lalande, 79, from Hauksbury, Ontario; Judith Longolisco, 93, from East Hauxberry Township, Ontario.
