Israeli media reported that an Israeli cargo ship was attacked while heading from Jeddah to the UAE, confirming that investigations are ongoing to verify the likely attack the ship was exposed to on Saturday while on its way from Jeddah to the UAE, and whether Iranian forces are behind the attack.
Al Arabiya news channel also reported, in a breaking news update, that the Yemeni Houthi group hijacked an Israeli transport ship sailing near the Gulf coasts.
The channel mentioned that there are reports of the hijacking of an Israeli ship "Galaxy Leader" by the Houthi group with 22 people on board.
Earlier today, the Yemeni Ansar Allah Houthi group threatened to target ships owned by Israeli companies.
The Houthi group had earlier confirmed that it is capable of targeting Israeli ships in the Red Sea or anywhere else.
The group had previously announced targeting sites in southern Israel with ballistic missiles and drones, along with downing an American drone in the Red Sea.
