The New York State Police is seeking to revoke former President Donald Trump's gun license, following his conviction in the "hush money" case involving adult film actress Stormy Daniels regarding their relationship.

The American newspaper "The New York Times" reported, citing two unnamed sources, that Trump had a concealed carry permit in New York, under which three handguns were registered in the former president's name.

They added that "2 of the handguns were delivered to the New York Police Department's Licensing Division in April 2023," after 34 charges were brought against Trump in the "hush money" case, while the third handgun was "legally transferred to Florida, and it remains unclear whether it is still in Trump's possession," according to the newspaper.

Under federal law and state law in New York and Florida, individuals convicted of felonies are prohibited from possessing firearms.

Last week, a grand jury of 12 New York citizens unanimously found Trump guilty of all thirty-four charges against him in a case of falsifying business records to conceal a payment made to buy the silence of an adult film actress to avoid a sex scandal before the 2016 elections.

The judge set July 11 as the date for pronouncing the sentence against Trump, four days before the Republican National Convention, making him the first former American president to be convicted of a crime.

It was first reported that the New York Police are moving to revoke the permit yesterday, Wednesday, by the American network "CNN," which cited a high-ranking police official.

The New York Police are likely to complete a legal investigation that may lead to Trump's gun license revocation, according to individuals familiar with the matter who spoke to "The New York Times" and "CNN." Nevertheless, Trump has the right to appeal this action.
