Amid talks to extend the Gaza ceasefire, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insists that Israel will resume its military campaign to overthrow the Hamas movement.
Netanyahu said, during a video statement today, Wednesday, that the main goals of the war are to "eliminate" the ruling movement of Gaza, return all the hostages captured in the October 7 massacre, and ensure that the sector "will never again pose a threat to Israel."
According to the "Times of Israel" newspaper, Netanyahu praised, ahead of the expected release of the sixth group of hostages this evening, the return of the kidnapped Israelis, which he said last week seemed "fantastical."
He continued, "In recent days I have heard a question: Will Israel return to fighting after this phase of hostage return? My answer is yes, unequivocally." "There is no way we will not return to fighting to the end."
