Montreal police (SPVM) announced an intensified search for the suspect who collided with a police car, resulting in an officer's injury, and then fled the scene in a stolen vehicle.

SPVM reports that around 12:30 PM yesterday, Monday, police found the reported stolen vehicle, and one of the suspects was seen entering the car at the intersection of 55th Avenue Dorval and Lindsay Avenue, and they noticed at least one other person inside.

The police also stated that the first suspect fled the scene and was apprehended after a short foot chase.

The second suspect drove off and collided with a police car, resulting in the officer sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.

Police lost sight of the vehicle as it was traveling at high speeds, but later found it in -Bord-du Pointe-Claire in Lac-Lakeshore

The highway was briefly closed, and police officers are searching the area for the second suspect.
