Quebec Provincial Police (SQ) said on Monday that it arrested a man from Montreal and charged him in connection with more than forty fraud cases.
It added in a press release that Alexandre (Alex) Florea, 33 years old, was arrested on January 18 and appeared in court in Montreal on Monday on charges of fraud, forgery, identity theft, identity fraud, and other charges.
The police also stated: The investigation linked this suspect to 55 events that took place between fall 2021 and fall 2022.
It pointed out that the alleged crimes mostly occurred in Montreal, and the police feel there may be other victims of the suspect across Quebec.
