Ottawa City Council member, Tim Tierney, waited for decades for an opportunity to meet his favorite rock star, Nickelback.

He is actually a big fan, even having a tattoo on his arm to show his dedication. The tattoo, which bears the band's name, is so huge that lead singer Chad Kroeger said he doesn't think it's real.

Tierney said in an interview with Jackie Perez from CTV, "He gave it a rub and said, yes, that's dedication."

It got even better for Tierney, who had the chance to introduce the Canadian rock band on the second day of Bluesfest in front of 30,000 fans.

Tierney said, "I don't know how to top this. Now, this is like a bucket list item." "I am so proud."

Mark Monahan, founder of Ottawa Bluesfest, played a role in making Tierney's dream come true.

Monahan said, "Clearly, Tim is a unique person who has a favorite band."

"When we reached out to them, they were more than just collaborators because they actually said, 'We know Tim. Tim has been engaging with our posts on our Twitter account for years. He's like our biggest fan.'
