The Guinness World Records registered the "Hanging Prayer Room" in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, as the highest prayer room in the world.

According to the "Sabq" newspaper, "The Guinness World Records registered the 'Hanging Prayer Room' based on the highest standards of excellence in all its aspects, reflecting the unique architectural style, and its amazing location allows guests to enjoy panoramic views of the religious landmarks in Mecca, including the Grand Mosque, the Holy Kaaba, and other lively city landmarks during the Umrah and Hajj seasons."

"Sabq" explained that the prayer room is located within the bridge connecting the hotel towers, at an altitude of 483 meters above sea level, and about 179 meters above the internal road level, setting the record for the highest hanging prayer room in the world, and the hanging prayer room is among the upper floors of the Address Jabal Omar Hotel in the central area in front of the Holy Haram.

The record also included that the hanging prayer room contains "ancient Arabic designs, modern touches, and phrases written in Arabic calligraphy that add more dignity to its atmosphere, including the names of Allah Almighty which reflect the rich Islamic heritage," according to "Sabq".
