The Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced today, Wednesday, the martyrdom of 4 of its staff members as a result of the occupation bombing an ambulance on Salah al-Din Street in central Gaza Strip, according to breaking news on "Al Jazeera".

It is worth mentioning that Dr. Abdel Jalil Hanjal, spokesperson for the Palestinian Red Crescent, confirmed that there are a few hospitals in Gaza Strip that are still operating at a very minimal level, as most of them have gone out of service completely.

Abdel Jalil said during a phone interview on "Cairo News" channel, that there is a major challenge in communicating with our teams, and we communicate through our devices which have been targeted more than once by the occupation forces, but the communications return from time to time, however, they are still cut off until now.

Dr. Hanjal added that there is communication through phones we publish to citizens in case of inability to contact through the ambulance service number, and we need to restock hospitals, and passages should be opened for the greater passage of aid trucks which used to reach Gaza during the truce period at 200 trucks per day, but then only 100 trucks entered, and in recent days only 10 aid trucks have entered per day.

For his part, Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, director of the International Committee of the Red Cross, confirmed today, Wednesday, that hospitals in northern Gaza Strip are no longer able to provide any surgical services.

Egger said in an interview with "Al Jazeera" channel, that medical supplies in Gaza Strip are absolutely insufficient to relieve the wounded and the sick, emphasizing that the situation is very difficult in all hospitals of Gaza Strip.

Spoljaric added that it is the responsibility of the parties to the conflict to respect international humanitarian law and protect civilians, noting that diplomatic activity continues to appeal to countries with influence on the parties to the conflict.

The World Health Organization also announced the cancellation of the mission it was leading to provide medical aid to Gaza due to security concerns, according to Cairo News.
