Forbes included two Canadian cities in the list of the top 23 places to travel around the world for 2023.
The list included two cities in Western Canada, Edmonton and Victoria, along with global sites like Sicily, Istanbul, Sri Lanka, and Tasmania.
Edmonton:
Forbes described Alberta's capital Edmonton as a vibrant urban center in the heart of the wilderness. The rich Indigenous history in Edmonton is also worth visiting the city for, from the Whiskeyjack Art House galleries to the Bearclaw exhibit, the Indigenous experience at Fort Edmonton Park, and Elk Island National Park.
There are also plenty of fun things to do while visiting the city, such as visiting the Neon Sign Museum in Edmonton.
Victoria:
The second Canadian city recommended by Forbes magazine to visit is the charming city of Victoria, due to its sustainability, respect, and recognition of local Indigenous communities.
Visitors can embark on boat tours or walk and learn all about the Songhees Nation at the Songhees Wellness Center.
