Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati confirmed that Egypt, which always carries the concerns of the Arab world, is making great efforts to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza and to stop the massacres committed against the Palestinians.
This came during the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi's reception of the Lebanese Prime Minister in Cairo today, Saturday.
Mikati expressed his appreciation for Egypt's constant support for Lebanon and its support on all levels, saying: 'We support the position of the Egyptian president in rejecting the displacement of Palestinians from their land, and his effort to find a solution that starts with a ceasefire and the protection of civilians, and then work on finding a permanent solution to the Palestinian cause that preserves the rights of the Palestinians in their land and their independent state.'
Egyptian media reported that the Lebanese Prime Minister arrived in Cairo earlier today to discuss the ongoing escalation of the situation in the Gaza Strip and to support the Egyptian position in rejecting the displacement of Palestinians.
