Officials said on Monday that 4 people were killed after unidentified individuals threw a hand grenade at the residence of a local educational official in Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan.
The Regional Media and Culture Department said in a statement that the grenade was thrown at night at the home of the education director in Hisarak district, resulting in the death of his four daughters.
The motive behind the attack was not immediately known, and no group or individuals have claimed responsibility for the incident.
