The Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, Tuesday, October 31, 2023, in a statement that Tokyo has imposed a new set of sanctions on 9 individuals and a company based in Gaza that provides money transfer and virtual currency exchange services linked to the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" in Gaza.
These sanctions include freezing the assets of the individuals and the company that helped finance Hamas, and are in line with new sanctions announced by the US government earlier this month.
Individuals, including the two Hamas members Muhammad Ahmed Abdul Dayem Nasrallah and Ayman Nofal, were also added to the list of persons and organizations considered "terrorists" by Japan.
It is worth mentioning that the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced the martyrdom of the brigade commander Ayman Nofal in a bombing on the Gaza Strip on October 17 of this month.
