Iraq: Explosions and firework sparks due to a large fire in Baghdad

A source in the Iraqi Civil Defense Directorate reported today, Tuesday, that a fire broke out inside commercial warehouses north of the capital, Baghdad.

The "Shafaaq News" agency quoted the source as saying that civil defense teams are battling a large fire that broke out inside the warehouses in the Abu al-Sham commercial area, noting that one of the warehouses stores fireworks.

He added that the fire incident was accompanied by sounds of explosions due to the fireworks flying.
