Authorities confirmed that a family of three - two adults and an infant - died in a serious collision in the Fraser Valley in British Columbia this week.
Emergency crews were called to Highway 1 near Agassiz early Tuesday morning with reports of a collision between a passenger vehicle and a towing trailer.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) said that the two adults in the passenger vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene, while the infant died hours later after being airlifted to the hospital.
The driver of the trailer sustained no injuries.
Authorities said the cause of the collision is still under investigation, but alcohol and drugs are not suspected factors.
