The Brockville Police announced the investigation into suspicious activity where three men were taking pictures of individuals and children at Rotary Park earlier this month.
Officers received a report last Thursday, alleging that three men were taking pictures on July 3 of people, especially children, while using the splash pad. According to the report, the men claimed they were taking the pictures to raise funds on behalf of Brockville General Hospital when confronted.
Brockville Police said in a press release yesterday, Friday: "In this case, the men requested the name, phone number, and email address of individuals, claiming they would send them the photos; however, the hospital states that it has no one collecting funds on its behalf.
The police say the three men were using advanced photography equipment and were dressed smartly.
The police remind people not to give their information to strangers and to report suspicious activities.
