Ambassador Ahmed Hafez, Egypt's Ambassador to Canada, received "Timothy Egan," President of the Canadian Gas Association, at the Egyptian Embassy in the capital Ottawa, as part of ongoing discussions with business circles and associations related to energy activities and their various resources and sources, in light of Egypt's ambitious energy agenda and its advanced policies in this regard.

During the meeting, many global energy topics and issues were discussed, as well as the multiple opportunities in this regard, including ways to collaborate with Egypt as an emerging regional energy hub in the region.

Ambassador Hafez reviewed the overall Egyptian activities in the energy sector, the ambitious projects that Egypt is engaged in through its vast capabilities and immense potential, and what the Egyptian state seeks in continuing to work diligently towards various energy sources, including new, renewable, and clean ones; as well as maximizing benefits within a framework of mutual advantage and shared interests with partners from international entities across the region and the world.

The Egyptian ambassador emphasized that Egypt is working towards continuing to build and look forward to the future and all opportunities in this regard, as it has positive impacts on economic growth and comprehensive development.
