The United States has imposed sanctions on individuals and entities in Israel due to violence against civilians in the West Bank.
State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said, "The United States has consistently opposed any actions that undermine stability in the West Bank and prospects for peace and security, and we have imposed sanctions on three Israeli individuals and five entities linked to acts of violence against civilians in the West Bank."
He added, "One of the targets of the sanctions is the Lehava organization, which has been designated by the United States for its members' involvement in repeated acts of violence against Palestinians, in addition to imposing sanctions on four settlement outposts owned or controlled by individuals designated by the United States who have used them as bases for violent actions to displace Palestinians. Such outposts have been used to disrupt grazing land, limit access to wells, and launch violent attacks against Palestinians."
