The Indian Navy has deployed about 10 warships in the area extending from the northern and central Arabian Sea to the Gulf of Aden, aiming to prevent pirate attacks and drone aircraft targeting commercial ships.

Indian Navy officials said, in a statement carried by the Indian channel "NDTV" today, Friday, "Among the deployed ships are destroyers, frigates, and naval patrol vessels in the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden."

The officials added that the Indian warships are monitoring the situation to deter any incidents at sea.

On the other hand, the "Cairo News" channel reported in a breaking news, citing European sources, that the European Union is preparing to dispatch a naval force to the Red Sea.

It continued that the preparation of the European naval force will take weeks before its deployment in the Red Sea.

The European sources noted that the European Union will deploy destroyers, frigates, and early warning aircraft in the Red Sea.
