The Indian Navy has deployed 5 missile destroyers, a Boeing "P-8" patrol aircraft, and a long-range drone reconnaissance aircraft "Sea Guardian," with the aim of securing commercial shipping in the Arabian Sea, according to the Indian newspaper "Hindustan Times."
According to the newspaper, today Thursday, the latest Indian missile destroyers are deployed in the central, northern, and western parts of the Arabian Sea, operating independently from the international military forces led by the United States in the Middle East.
The newspaper added that the ships and aircraft belonging to the Indian Coast Guard are conducting intensive patrols off the country's west coast to avoid drone attack incidents on commercial ships.
It is noted that India deployed a group of warships in the Arabian Sea after one of its ships carrying chemical materials was attacked using drones on December 23, causing a fire on board the tanker.
