The "Hamas" movement announced this evening that it views positively what was included in the speech of U.S. President Joe Biden regarding his call for a ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip, and the exchange of prisoners.

The "Hamas" movement clarified in an official statement received by international media, saying: "We view positively what was included in the speech of U.S. President Joe Biden today regarding his call for a permanent ceasefire, the withdrawal of the occupation forces from the Gaza Strip, reconstruction, and an exchange of prisoners."

The "Hamas" movement considered that "this U.S. position and the deep-seated belief in the regional and international arena about the necessity of putting an end to the war on Gaza is the result of the heroic steadfastness of the resisting people and their valiant struggle."

It also affirmed its "position of readiness to deal positively and constructively with any proposal based on the principles of a permanent ceasefire, full withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, reconstruction, the return of the displaced to all their places of residence, and achieving a serious prisoner exchange deal if the Israeli occupation announces its explicit commitment to that."

U.S. President Joe Biden announced on Friday evening a new plan proposed by Israel consisting of three stages to stop the war in the Gaza Strip.

He also pointed out that the proposal includes a comprehensive ceasefire, the withdrawal of the Israeli army from Gaza, the release of hostages, and reconstruction.

The Israeli Prime Minister's Office commented on Biden's statements, saying that "Benjamin Netanyahu is determined not to end the war until all its goals are achieved."
