Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan stated late that the Kingdom supports the deployment of an international force in Gaza by a UN resolution, tasked with supporting the Palestinian Authority.

The Saudi Foreign Minister added during a discussion session at the European Council on Foreign Relations meetings in Madrid, titled "Wars and Shadow Wars: What are Europe's Options in the Middle East?", that "the Palestinian Authority can take responsibility, and they have people who can bear this responsibility, especially in the field of civil services," but they need support from international forces under the UN General Assembly. He also emphasized that "it is important for the security situation in Gaza to be under the control of trustworthy parties, as we all agree."

According to the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the session addressed the tragic situation in the Gaza Strip and the importance of continuing international efforts for an immediate ceasefire and allowing more humanitarian aid to enter.

Bin Farhan confirmed during the session the importance of continuing efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, pointing out that "the majority of the international community agrees that a permanent and just solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is the two-state solution, but it remains inactive in the face of issues that might undermine the two-state solution, such as Israel's continued expansion of settlement operations."

The Saudi Foreign Minister added that "what European countries, including Spain, are doing to support the peace process and push towards a two-state solution is very important, and the least European countries can do is to condemn Israel's failure to fulfill its commitments, and then take more stringent measures, such as imposing sanctions on certain officials who violate human rights," emphasizing that "the Palestinian people have the full right to self-determination, and they as a people deserve an internationally recognized independent state."

Regarding the discussion of deploying international forces in Gaza, the Palestinian resistance movement (Hamas) issued a statement on its Telegram channel, confirming its rejection of "any plans, projects, or proposals that seek to surpass the Palestinian will regarding the future of the Gaza Strip, and rejecting any statements and positions supporting plans for the entry of foreign forces into the Strip under any name or pretext."

The statement added, "The administration of the Gaza Strip after defeating this fascist aggression is purely a Palestinian matter, agreed upon by our Palestinian people of all factions, and it will not allow any guardianship or the imposition of any solutions or external equations that undermine its constants based on its right to achieve its freedom and self-determination."

Hamas called on all Arab and Islamic countries to "pressure to stop the Zionist genocide war against our Palestinian people, and to provide all means of support and assistance to him in his battle for existence on his land, and to fulfill its obligations towards our people and land and the Islamic and Christian sanctities, which are being ravaged by fascist settlement criminal gangs."

For its part, the Popular Front stated in a statement that it rejects "the deployment of any international forces in Gaza, and emphasizes that the Palestinian people are the ones who will decide the future of the region or the form of governance therein."

The Front stressed that "the Palestinian people are the only entity authorized to determine the future and the form of the ruling authority in the Gaza Strip, and considers any attempt to deploy international forces in Gaza, whether by UN resolution or otherwise, to be an attempt to impose guardianship or a new occupation of the territory, which the Palestinian people will not accept under any circumstances."

The Front continued: "It sees that Arab and international efforts should focus on the core issues that concern the Palestinian people, which are stopping the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip, the return of the displaced, reconstruction, and breaking the unjust siege imposed on the territory for years." The Front emphasized that the Palestinian people and resistance "will firmly confront any international arrangements or plans being made behind the back of the Palestinian people, without their actual and effective participation, or any attempts to replace the occupation with international forces."

Saudi Arabia had air-dropped quality food aid to the Gaza Strip in cooperation with Jordan to break the closure imposed by the Israeli army on the border crossings.

Advisor in the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Aid Center, Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, explained that Saudi Arabia carried out the air-dropping operation in cooperation with the Jordanian charity authority and the Jordanian Armed Forces, "the Arab Army," according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Al-Rabiah stated that due to the impossibility of introducing humanitarian aid to the affected people in the Strip through the border crossings, the Kingdom provided Jordan with parachutes and nets specifically designed for air-drop operations for aid weighing 30 tons.

He noted that the food materials provided by the King Salman Relief Center are characterized by being ready for immediate use without the need for stoves to heat them.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia had launched an air bridge from which 54 planes have arrived so far, and a sea bridge from which 8 ships have arrived to date, and the Palestinian Red Crescent in the Gaza Strip received 20 ambulances equipped with the latest medical devices, 30 generators, and 10 water tanks, in addition to the crossing of more than 500 convoys through the Rafah border crossing so far.

The amount of in-kind aid provided by the center to the Gaza Strip has exceeded 6,546 tons of various relief materials, and the center has signed 5 agreements with several UN organizations to assist the Palestinian people in Gaza with a total value of 80 million and 750 thousand US dollars.
