Ottawa fire services responded to multiple fires on the night of November 27, with two fires reported in different areas of the city.

The first report was in the Morya Court area in the southern part of the city, where a fire was reported in a wooden gazebo.

Upon the arrival of firefighting teams, it was found that the fire had spread to the roof of the house. Due to concerns about the safety of the structure and the roof of the building, firefighters were initially evacuated, but after extinguishing the fire in the attic, the team resumed interior firefighting operations, and control of the fire was declared at 6:31 PM.

No injuries were reported, and after a thorough inspection, it was confirmed that all residents in the home were safe. Assistance was provided to an adult who was evacuated from the home.

In another incident around 9 PM, a fire broke out in a bedroom of a small house on Viewmount Street. Upon the arrival of firefighting teams, it was found that flames were heavily engulfing the room, but the owner was outside the house and confirmed that no one was inside.

Firefighters were able to quickly control the fire and completely extinguished it at 9:08 PM. High-pressure fans were used to ventilate the house. No injuries were recorded, and assistance was provided to eight students who were evacuated from the location due to the fire.

Investigators were sent to investigate the causes of the two fires and determine the source of the flames in each case.
