One of Kotam's residents was displaced after a house fire early in the morning.
John Quinell, head of the Kingsville fire department, said the two-story residence at 106 County Road 34 was completely burned when crews arrived around 3 a.m. on Monday.
Quinell said the house was completely destroyed and the cause is unknown.
Quinell added, "The damage is estimated at about $300,000 in addition to $20,000 for damage to the sides of the neighbors' house."
He added that there were no injuries and the resident living in the house escaped unharmed.
Quinell is unsure of the source of the call but said the fire service received several emergency calls from neighbors this morning.
