The Israeli Channel 12 TV reported today, Sunday, that the American billionaire Elon Musk, owner of the X social media platform, will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog in Israel tomorrow, Monday.

This comes at a time when civil rights groups accuse Musk of amplifying anti-Jewish hatred on his social media platform.

Musk's visit coincides with a four-day ceasefire in the war between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in Gaza.

Netanyahu met with Musk in California on September 18 and urged him to balance protecting freedom of expression and combating hate speech after weeks of controversy over anti-Semitic content on the X platform.

Musk responded by saying he is against anti-Semitism and against anything that "promotes hatred and conflict," repeating his previous statements that the X platform will not promote hate speech.

Also, on November 15, Musk approved a post on the X platform saying that Jews are inciting hatred against whites, saying that the user who referenced the "Great Replacement" conspiracy theory was speaking "actual truth."

The White House condemned what it called the "vile promotion of racial hatred and anti-Semitism" which "contradicts our core values as Americans."

Major American companies temporarily suspended their advertisements on his social media site.

Anti-Semitism and Islamophobia have increased in the United States and around the world, including during the war that broke out seven weeks ago between Israel and Hamas.

Musk said the X platform should be a place for people to share diverse views, but the company will limit the posting of some content that may violate its policies, describing this approach as "freedom of speech, not freedom of reach."
