Today, Monday, November 20th, coincides with World Children's Day, and while the world celebrates this day, thousands of children are being killed in Gaza, mercilessly by Israeli occupation forces, with 5 Palestinian children martyred every hour.

The remaining children who survived the state of war that began on October 7th are living displaced after their homes were bombed, in a state of panic and fear, and they are dying of hunger every minute.

Number of Palestinian children martyrs

The Palestinian Ministry of Education confirmed that the occupation has killed more than 5,000 Palestinian children, including more than 3,000 students in the Gaza Strip since the aggression on October 7th, and 23 students from schools in the West Bank, where behind every number there is a story, a tale, a dream, and an ambition killed by the occupation.

World Children's Day in Palestine

The Palestinian Ministry of Education stated in a statement on the occasion of World Children's Day, saying that "the scenes of killing children and school students in the Gaza Strip have exceeded all norms and conventions, as these horrific scenes, broadcasted by television screens and media, reveal the mentality of the occupation and its ongoing targeting of education in all governorates of the homeland."

The ministry added: “There are other scenes witnessed in the West Bank and Jerusalem governorates involving cold-blooded killings, school raids, and obstruction of students and educational staff from reaching schools.”

Palestinian children are dying of hunger

The Israeli occupation did not only carry out bombing campaigns since the war began, but also imposed a siege on the Gaza Strip, causing hunger and thirst to pursue the residents of Gaza including children, women, and men.

Israel cut off electricity and water to Gaza five days after the war began, closed all crossings completely, and prevented the flow of various goods, causing a rapid and increasing shortage of food supplies, to the extent that today there is an almost complete absence of bread and water supplies.

The occupation bombed many bakeries in Gaza City and northern besieged Gaza Strip, depriving hundreds of thousands of residents from obtaining bread.

Palestinian premature infants

While the world celebrates World Children's Day, Palestinian premature infants are searching for a hospital to receive them after the Israeli occupation bombed Gaza hospitals and cut off their fuel supplies.

Rafah crossing received today, Monday, 29 premature Palestinian children coming from the Gaza Strip to place them in Egyptian hospitals.

It is noted that Dr. Ashraf Al-Qudra, the official spokesperson for the Palestinian Ministry of Health, stated that about 31 premature infants were evacuated from Al-Shifa Complex to Tel Sultan Hospital in Rafah, in preparation for transferring them to Egypt.

A Palestinian child trembling and crying out of intense fear

Social media sites captured a series of scenes of Palestinian children who survived the bombings but are overwhelmed with fear and panic.

Among them is the scene of the child Muhammad Abu Luli, a Palestinian child who was in a state of panic; he was trembling and crying from intense fear after waking up to the sound of Israeli bombing on their home and was unable to speak.

A Palestinian child bids farewell to his brother’s body after his martyrdom

One of the most heart-wrenching scenes that brought tears to everyone’s eyes and whose famous phrase was etched in ears “Oh Kamal... Oh Kamal,” is the scene of a Palestinian child bidding farewell to the body of his brother after his martyrdom.

Israeli air strikes bombed a house where Kamal Abu Tair’s family had taken shelter in Khan Younis camp in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the martyrdom of the child Kamal, injury to his brother, who remains in a state of collapse and crying.

The occupation bombs schools and hospitals

The brutality of the Israeli occupation did not stop there; the bombing continues throughout the day, with the aggression reaching hospitals treating the injured and schools where displaced Palestinian children and women seek refuge.
