Students at Columbia University in New York have returned to protest once again in less than a week, outside the university gates, in protest of the destructive Israeli war on the Gaza Strip on its 239th day.
The university students have set up tents called "Revolution for Rafah" in the southern square of the university, to protest the continuation of the war and the university administration's failure to meet their demands to cease investments in the occupying state, according to the Palestinian news and information agency "Wafa".
In this context, dozens of supporters gathered in front of the Brooklyn Museum, demanding that the museum administration halt investments in companies that support the occupying state and cut ties with it, but the American police arrested several of them.
On April 18, students and academics opposed to the aggression on Gaza began a sit-in on the campus of Columbia University, demanding its administration to stop its academic cooperation with Israeli universities and withdraw its investments in companies that support the occupation.
As the police intervened and arrested dozens of protesters, the anger spread to universities in countries such as France, Britain, Germany, Canada, and India, all of which witnessed demonstrations and demands to end the war on Gaza and boycott the companies that supply Israel with weapons.
