Chinese companies remove Israel's name from their maps...

Chinese electronic map users were surprised that the name of Israel no longer appears on major Chinese sites such as 'Baidu' and 'Alibaba', amid anticipation of Tel Aviv's reaction to this.

This deletion has now become a common topic of discussion in China, with questions as to whether this is a stance on the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

The digital maps on "Baidu" show the demarcation of the border between Palestine and the occupying state, but they do not specify the state by name, and the same was seen on the "Alibaba" map, although even small countries like Luxembourg were clearly identified.

The two companies have not yet provided an official explanation for this matter.

China's position on the conflict...

Since the beginning of the battles between the occupation army and the Palestinian factions three weeks ago, China has supported a ceasefire to avoid "further escalation" and humanitarian suffering, and with the confirmation of its foreign minister, Wang Yi, of the right of any country to defend itself, he considered the current Israeli escalation to be beyond the scope of self-defense.

Chinese President Xi Jinping offered coordination with Egypt and Arab countries to push for a comprehensive, just, and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue as soon as possible.

The difficulty of Israeli protest...

Chinese affairs expert Mazen Hassan pointed out that the maps from which the name of the occupying entity was removed are unofficial maps, not fully controlled by the government as they belong to companies owned by businessmen, and therefore Israel will not be able to protest what happened.

Hassan expects that this measure "was agreed upon between a group of companies because it came simultaneously, and the government may be aware of this step, but it remains that no one can blame it for this measure."

Regarding China's position on the ongoing conflict, the political researcher says that Beijing's position from the first day of the war "is clear, which is that the Palestinians have the right to establish their state, and that the violence came as a result of Israeli practices towards Palestine, and together with Moscow, it saved Hamas from condemnation in the UN Security Council by using the veto right."

He also confirmed that China has a diplomatic stance that leans somewhat towards the Palestinian side, but there are political circles within it that lean doubly towards the Palestinians.
