China recently launched a plan to improve the use of phosphorus resources with the aim of increasing effectiveness and efficiency in the coming years, according to the China News Agency (Xinhua), on Thursday.
The plan issued by eight government agencies, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Development and Reform Commission, stated that the country will witness steady improvements in innovation, environmental protection, and safety for the chemical phosphorus industry until 2026, along with a significant increase in the production of high-quality phosphorus products.
The plan also expects steady progress in deepening cross-regional cooperation and consolidating industrial and supply chains.
The plan sets development goals focusing on innovation-driven growth, improving industrial structure, green development, and the development of industrial clusters, while specifying the necessary measures to achieve these goals.
China is considered the world's largest producer of phosphate ore and chemical phosphorus materials, possessing vast resources and a comprehensive industrial system in this sector.
