With the outbreak of wildfires that spiraled out of control in the famous Jasper National Park in Alberta and its city site late Wednesday, many fear the worst as officials warned of "significant losses" within the area.

Parks Canada stated in a release: "Our focus remains on saving as many structures as possible, but unfortunately, we cannot report on the extent of damage to specific sites or neighborhoods at this time.” "We understand that residents, business owners, visitors, and those with connections to Jasper want to know the status of their homes, businesses, treasures, and favorite places."

While residents and visitors await to see the extent of the damage, many are already feeling sorrow for Jasper National Park by sharing their favorite photos of the famous area.

One Canadian said in a post on X, "My favorite photos I took when I last visited Jasper. It’s hard to think about what we will wake up to."

Another remarked, "One of my favorite places in the world is burning and in a catastrophic state." "My heart goes out to everyone living there; it’s in chaos."

Another post said, "Photos of Jasper last year around this time, my heart goes out to all the evacuees and first responders."

One post expressed, "I feel sick seeing the tweets and photos from Jasper. One of my favorite places on Earth. I camped there last week, it's devastating."

Another post mentioned, "I feel so much love for Jasper today. The time we spent there on this trip was my favorite. "We will return one day."
