Canadian police arrested two teenage girls in connection with an alleged murder in northern Manitoba.
Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers in the Chemawawin detachment said they were called to a home in Easterville shortly before 2 a.m. on Sunday in response to reports of
disturbances.
Police also found a second victim, a 35-year-old woman, nearby with injuries that are not life-threatening.
She was airlifted to a hospital in Winnipeg, about 500 kilometers away, where she remains in stable condition.
Police announced that they had arrested the girls, aged 13 and 14, but did not clarify whether they knew the victim or if any charges had been laid against them in the ongoing investigation.
