The Canadian Ministry of Health announced the recall of several hemp oils and softgel capsules because they may contain unexpected amounts of THC and HHC.

The ministry stated that both compounds are intoxicating and may pose a risk to consumers.

The affected products include specific doses of Emprise CBN+CBD Softgels, NuLeaf Naturals Full Spectrum Hemp Multicannabinoid Oil and Oil Softgels, and Ultra Plus Multicannabinoid Oil and Softgels.

They were sold to consumers by authorized retailers in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and Yukon between December 2022 and July 2024.

The products were also sold to medical customers through Rosebud Productions Inc., Open Fields Winnipeg, Open Fields Saskatchewan, and Medicibis in Quebec.

Both the Canadian Ministry of Health and the recalled company, iNaturally Organic Inc., received reports of adverse reactions.

The Canadian Ministry of Health explained that consumers should immediately stop using the affected hemp oils and softgel capsules and either dispose of them or return them to the place of purchase.
