The alarm bells rang in the royal house after a new defeat in the Champions League, following the fall against Milan (1-3) in the fourth round of the European competition.

The Spanish newspaper "Marca" headlined: "Real Madrid has no defense," referencing the seven goals the royal club conceded in the last two matches against Barcelona (4-0) and Milan (1-3).

Real Madrid has suffered two defeats that left the club in a very bad situation in both La Liga and the Champions League.

Marca stated: "Two defeats have left Ancelotti's team in a state of chaos, after having received this year 3 defeats more than last season in total (2)."

The Spanish newspaper continued: "Real Madrid has fallen, and it's no longer just about the style of play that has been in doubt from the beginning, but also about the results. Real Madrid has transferred its problems to the scoreboard, which raises concerns within the team, the club, and the fans."

Lucas Vazquez, the royal club player, said: "It was a complicated match, but we are trying to change this situation in the end. We are at a time when our opponents punish us heavily, and we need to keep working so that it doesn't happen again."

Real Madrid conceded 18 goals in 16 matches played by the team, and their defense is under the spotlight.

A crisis at Real Madrid

The Spanish full-back admitted that the dynamics are not good, as the number of goals conceded is a significant burden: "It's a very bad number. Defense, like attack, is a collective effort, and we need to emphasize that. We have to keep our heads up because the road is very long, and Madrid always fights until the end."

The current situation has raised concerns among the Bernabeu fans, who have begun to show their anger. The team is not communicating with the fans, and the second half yesterday was evidence of that.

Lucas continued: "The fans are the sovereign. In the Champions League, you play against the best, and every match will be like a final for us because what we want is to win every remaining match."

Real Madrid is in second place in La Liga, trailing the leading Barcelona by 9 points, while waiting to play the postponed match against Valencia, and they are in 17th place in the Champions League standings, currently sitting outside the Round of 16.
