The British Foreign Office announced today, Monday, that it has temporarily withdrawn some staff members from the British embassy in Lebanon.
The ministry advised Britons not to travel to Lebanon due to the conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip and the exchange of fire along the border between Israel and Lebanon, and urged Britons in Lebanon to leave while commercial flights are still available.
Arab and Western countries have also asked their nationals to leave Lebanon and warned to avoid traveling there due to the tensions along the Lebanese-Israeli border.
The border between Lebanon and Israel is witnessing tension and intermittent exchanges of fire and shelling between the Israeli army on one side and Hezbollah on the other, since the start of the confrontation between Hamas and Israel on October 7.
