The British police have arrested a woman and a man involved in setting fire to a constituency office of a Conservative MP supportive of Israel.

Paul Harwood (42 years old) and Zara Kasuri (32 years old) were charged with arson in connection with a fire at the North London electoral office of Conservative MP Mike Freer on Christmas Eve.

They were also charged in relation to a fire that broke out at the back of a restaurant later that same night.

A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: "Paul Harwood and Zara Kasuri, both with no fixed address, were arrested on Wednesday 3 January and charged with arson, and with intentionally setting fire in connection with a fire at the back of a restaurant in Long Lane, N3 at around 11 p.m. on the same night. No injuries were reported in either incident."

It added: "Both are due to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday 4 January."
