U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed the importance of establishing a Palestinian state in order to reach any regional settlement.
Blinken said in television remarks, on the sidelines of the "Davos" forum, that Arab countries are not keen to participate in the reconstruction of Gaza if the Palestinian sector will be leveled again in a few years, according to BBC.
He added: "There was a new equation in the Middle East, and Israel's Arab and Muslim neighbors were ready under this equation to integrate Israel into the region, but they were equally committed to a path leading to the establishment of a Palestinian state."
He confirmed that the Arab states and Washington believe that Israel or the region will not enjoy peace, stability, and security until this issue is resolved.
He continued: "You are now in a situation where Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, are once again showing readiness to do things related to the relationship with Israel that they were not ready to do before. This opens the door to a completely different future, a safer future."
