The departure and arrival screens at Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut were hacked.
Messages appeared on the screens of Beirut Airport addressed to "Hezbollah and its Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, in the name of God and the people," urging them not to drag Lebanon into a war and accusing them of smuggling weapons through the airport.
The messages written in Lebanese colloquial said the following: "Rafic Hariri Airport is not Hezbollah and Iran’s airport... Hassan Nasrallah, you will not find a supporter if you afflict Lebanon with a war; you must bear its responsibilities and consequences (...) Hezbollah, we will not fight on behalf of anyone..''
Middle East Airlines issued a message to travelers regarding the malfunction that affected the Beirut airport screens, stating: "Following the disruption at Beirut Airport, travelers must comply with security instructions."
