The director of the Baptist hospital, Dr. Fadl Naim, said today, Saturday, that 80 martyrs have arrived at the hospital so far.
Naim added, during an interview with Al Jazeera, that the hospital - the closest to the Al-Tabe'in School, which was bombed early this Saturday - is suffering from a significant shortage of specialized medical staff, especially in the field of burns, as well as a shortage of medical supplies.
Reports indicated that more than 100 Palestinians were martyred, and dozens were injured early this Saturday in a new massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the displaced in Gaza City.
Local sources reported that the occupation's warplanes directly bombed the "Al-Tabe'in" school, which shelters displaced individuals in the al-Daraj neighborhood east of Gaza City, with three missiles while the displaced were performing Fajr prayers.
It added that the bombing led to the martyrdom and injury of most of the displaced individuals in the school, while rescue and civil defense teams were unable to retrieve all the martyrs' bodies, amid fears of a rise in the number of martyrs.
Both the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine and Fatah movement called on the world to intervene to stop the Israeli occupation massacres against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.
The spokesperson for the Fatah movement in Gaza, Munther Al-Hayek, stated that the occupation committed a grave and brutal crime against the displaced civilians in the Al-Tabe'in school in Gaza.
He added that "the blood of children cries out to the global conscience to intervene to stop the holocaust and genocide being perpetrated by Israel in the Gaza Strip."
