Arrest of a criminal organization for drug manufacturing in British Columbia

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in British Columbia announced that they decided to dismantle a large criminal organization accused of distributing and manufacturing counterfeit drugs containing fentanyl, as well as narcotics.

The police stated that 8 men from Metro Vancouver in Surrey, Delta, and Richmond, who are connected to the organization, were arrested.

The police also mentioned that Michael Johal, one of the suspects, aged 32 from Delta,

had previously been charged with being in contact with the gang, investigated for murder and participating in committing murders, and was detained in connection with these charges.

The Ministry of Public Safety also stated that during the investigation of drug crime gang members by the Organized Crime Unit of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, about 356,000 counterfeit pills and 168 kilograms of chemicals used in drug manufacturing were seized.

Security agencies also reported confiscating four illegally possessed firearms, along with more than 1500 bullets and ammunition.
