The Hebrew newspaper "Yediot Aharonot" reported today, Thursday, that the worst-case scenario for Israel is a simultaneous attack from Iran and Hezbollah.
The newspaper mentioned that there are estimates from security agencies indicating that the chances of a double attack from Iran and Hezbollah are diminishing, according to what was reported by the news network "Al Jazeera".
"Yediot Aharonot" explained that "Iran's response could take the form of an attack with hundreds of missiles and drones targeting Israel," pointing out that "Hezbollah may deliver symbolic strikes against targets located south of Haifa".
The newspaper added that "Israeli security agencies estimate that Hezbollah will be the initiator of the attack".
Earlier, the American news site "Axios" reported that Israeli officials stated they had informed "Washington of our concern that Hezbollah may strike civilian centers," adding: "We informed Washington that Hezbollah would pay an inappropriate price if its attack hits Israeli civilians".
The American network "CNN" quoted a knowledgeable source as saying that "it is unclear whether Hezbollah and Iran are coordinating on a potential attack at this time".
The source added that "Hezbollah may act without prior warning given Lebanon's proximity to Israel, which does not apply to Iran," noting that the Lebanese group is moving "faster than Iran in its plans and looks to strike Israel in the coming days".
