The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv once again called on its nationals to leave Ukraine as much as possible, warning of an increased likelihood of Russia launching military strikes there in the coming days near the anniversary of Ukrainian Independence Day.
The U.S. State Department said in a warning on its website, "The State Department has information that Russia will intensify efforts to launch strikes on civilian infrastructure and government facilities in Ukraine in the coming days."
The warning, which repeated previous security warnings, stated, "The U.S. Embassy urges American citizens to leave Ukraine now using available private land transportation options if it is safe."
