U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, stated that the United States will continue to support the transitional process in Syria to ensure stability and prevent the country from becoming a fertile ground for terrorist groups.
In a press statement, Blinken highlighted the importance of political solutions to end the Syrian crisis, reaffirming that Washington is committed to continuing its efforts with international and local partners to enhance stability and prevent the return of ISIS or other terrorist groups.
He also emphasized that the United States considers combating terrorism in Syria a core part of its regional strategy, calling on all parties to engage in the political process in accordance with United Nations resolutions.
