U.S. oil reserves fall to the lowest level since 1984

Data released by the U.S. Department of Energy on Tuesday showed that crude oil inventories in the country's Strategic Petroleum Reserve fell by 7.5 million barrels in the week ending September 2.

The stock dropped to 442.5 million barrels, the lowest level since November 1984.
