A heat warning is expected to extend through the weekend in Toronto as the city enters the fourth day of this severe wave.
Environment Canada says the hot and humid weather is expected to continue until Saturday.
On Friday and Saturday, the highest levels during the day are expected to have a minimum temperature in the thirties.
Temperatures with humidity are also expected to reach the mid-thirties today, Friday, while they will approach 40 degrees Celsius tomorrow, Saturday.
The weather agency says temperatures are likely to continue rising until Sunday, but temperatures are expected to be more moderate during the night hours, with temperatures dropping to the twenties.
Environment Canada warns that this weather may lead to a deterioration in air quality and encourages people to be aware of swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke, and the worsening of some health conditions.
