Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Canada "acts quickly" on his country's requests for support while condemning Iran for its involvement in supplying Russia with drones. Zelensky also sat down on Wednesday with CTV News Chief International Correspondent Paul Workman, where he said he is "truly grateful" for the military assistance provided by Ottawa. He added about the relations between Canada and Ukraine: "This is more than just a partnership, it is something bigger, it is like we are relatives, regardless of the distance." In the latest aid package for Ukraine, the federal government announced last week that it would send artillery, drone cameras, winter equipment, and satellite communication services, valued at a total of $47 million. Meanwhile, Russia launched Iranian-made Kamikaze-136 drones in Ukraine, targeting critical infrastructure such as power plants and water supplies. According to U.S. intelligence, Iran sent personnel to the Crimean Peninsula to train Russians on how to use these weapons. Iran denied sending drones to Russia, but Zelensky said Tehran's denial is all lies, adding: "We are speaking precisely, Iran supplies the drones that killed Ukrainians and continue to kill. This is not an accident. It is by the hundreds." In his thank-you speech, Volodymyr Zelensky stated: "Thank you very much. First of all, I want to say that Canada responds quickly to our requests regarding support for Ukraine and that is true. This is more than just a partnership. I want to emphasize again that distance is not measured in kilometers, but is measured by completely different things, in terms of values and attitudes towards each other's history. It is very strong support, as not every country can boast this amount (of support). Although at the same time, Trudeau did not boast, and I am very grateful for that. I realized these are not government funds. But first and foremost, this is the money of this community and taxpayers. So I am truly grateful. Also, I do not trust the leadership of Iran, and by the way... speaking about friendship with Canada, tragedies bind us.
