The Canadian Ministry of Environment warned of strong winds in the city and a possible power outage in Toronto.

The Canadian Ministry of Environment said that strong winds will begin Wednesday afternoon and end at night.

The Federal Weather Agency said in the warning that winds may reach 70 to 90 kilometers per hour, adding that "stronger winds are possible with rain or thunderstorms."

The Canadian Ministry of Environment warned that "storm winds can damage soft shelters, tents, and umbrellas at outdoor events."

"Winds may throw loose objects and cause injury or damage." The agency added that strong winds could cause power outages and falling tree branches. According to the Canadian Ministry of Environment, strong southerly winds will build before a cold front appears this afternoon. Winds will calm this evening or overnight as the front passes.
