The friendly match between the Canadian national team and its host, the Bahraini national team, ended in a positive draw with a score of 2-2, in the match that was held this evening at the Khalifa City Sports Stadium in Bahrain, as part of Canada's preparations for the Qatar 2022 World Cup finals.
Canada's goals were scored by Ismail Kony in the 6th minute and Lucas Cavallini in the 81st minute, while Bahrain's goals were scored by Mahdi Faisal Hamidan in the 14th minute and Abdullah Yousif Hilal in the 65th minute from a penalty kick.
Canada did not participate with all its main players, and many young and reserve names were introduced, at the coach's desire to check the readiness of all team members and to prepare all players to be fully ready before the World Cup competitions.
The match comes as part of a preparatory camp conducted by the Canadian team before the start of the World Cup, during which they will play a second match next Thursday against Japan at Al Maktoum Stadium at Al Nasr Club in Dubai.
It is noted that the Canadian team will be in Group F in the World Cup, where they will face Belgium on November 23, then Croatia on November 27, and Morocco on December 1.
