In a scene unseen by people for a long time and sparked hope for rapprochement between the two brothers, Princes William and Harry, along with their wives Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, appeared together in a tour among the crowds near Windsor Castle, yesterday Saturday, after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, following rumors that Markle was not allowed to come to Balmoral Castle.

Relations between the two sons of the new King of Britain, Charles, became tense after Harry and Meghan gave up their royal titles and moved to reside in the United States.

Harry and Meghan were on a short visit to Britain when the longest-reigning queen passed away on Thursday.

Like senior members of the royal family, Harry hurried to be by Queen Elizabeth’s side when her health deteriorated at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, but British media reports said that Meghan "was not welcome at Balmoral," so she did not go there.

According to what "The Sun" reported, quoting a close source, the Queen’s grandson received a phone call from King Charles telling him not to bring Meghan, because "it is neither right nor appropriate for her to be at Balmoral at such a very sad time."

In response to these rumors apparently, William’s spokesman, who became the heir apparent on Saturday, said he invited Harry and Meghan to accompany him with Kate on the walking tour in front of Windsor Castle.

A royal source described this tour as an "important display of unity at a very difficult time the family is going through." They came out of the same car, all dressed in black.

The two brothers and their wives did not interact much during 40 minutes of walking near one of the English homes that was a favorite of the Queen, where they stopped to read messages left among flowers, shaking hands, and exchanging brief conversations with some of the thousands of people gathered there.

During the tour, a woman among the crowds hugged Meghan, while some hands reached out to shake her hand and talk to the four royal family members as evening approached.

Prince William spent some time bending down to talk with children, while Kate and Harry accepted flowers and messages of encouragement from the crowd.

William was heard telling someone that the two days following the Queen’s death were "very surreal," adding: "We all thought she was invincible."
